The Salam music program provides music education to the youth in the BidiBidi settlement, in Northern Uganda. Vocals, guitar and dance are being taught by local qualified teachers.
SINAL’s mission is to develop the creative capacities of refugee and host-community youth in northern Uganda. Through weekly music education and dance activities, we are working to unleash the creative potentials of youth from all backgrounds, using music as a tool to build peace among the diverse ethnic populations in the region.
Meet with Victor Aluonzi, music teacher at the Salam Music Program in Bidi Bidi. Victor is a Ugandan musician and maths teacher who lives in the settlement and joined the Sina Loketa team as a music teacher in December 2020.
