We are proud to announce that SINA LOKETA (SINAL) has won the 2026 Music Cities Awards in the Music Community Impact category through its flagship music and arts initiative, the Salam Music Program. The Salam Music Program, SINA LOKETA’s music and arts programme, uses music, dance, storytelling, creative expression, and community performances to promote healing, strengthen social cohesion, and support trauma recovery among refugee and host communities. Through the Bidibidi Arts Center, young people have found a safe space to learn, create, connect, and transform their experiences into messages of hope and peace.
This achievement would not have been possible without the invaluable support and partnership of TO.org and Playing For Change Foundation, whose commitment to empowering communities through music, creativity, and education has helped strengthen the impact of the Salam Music Program and expand opportunities for young people in Bidibidi.
This award is a recognition of the resilience, creativity, and determination of the young artists, community members, partners, and supporters who continue to use the arts as a powerful tool for healing, inclusion, and peacebuilding.
