SINA LOKETA (SINAL) aims to identify, inspire and empower 25 new young entrepreneurs to recognize opportunities, explore innovative approaches to create social businesses that generate profits and solve social and environmental problems in their communities. It’s a two-month programme that helps shape young people to discover their potentials and create community-based ventures to become self-reliant and develop social capital in refugee and host communities. The selected candidates will have an opportunity to prototype their products, participate in business planning and financial modelling and business pitching training as these are some of the core skills needed for young entrepreneurs. The most promising business ideas will be selected for a 5 day Bootcamp in Kampala to pitch their business ideas to investors and stand a chance to win a grant to unlock the implementation stage.
